Tautulli
Status: Working · Content: movies, TV episodes, and seasons
If you already run Tautulli alongside Plex, this is the richest movies-and-TV source: it’s the only one that powers the Most watched section.

What you need
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Base URL | Your Tautulli address, e.g. http://192.168.1.20:8181. Include the path if Tautulli runs under one (its HTTP_ROOT), e.g. http://host:8181/tautulli. |
| Tautulli API key | In Tautulli, Settings → Web Interface → API. Enable the API and copy the key. |
| Public URL | Your Plex web address, e.g. https://plex.example.com. See below. |
Set a Public URL, or items won’t link
⚠️
Without a Public URL, Tautulli items in the email have no links at all. Tautulli’s own address isn’t somewhere recipients should land, so LatestArr doesn’t guess.
With a Public URL, each item links straight to its page in Plex Web on that address. If LatestArr can’t look up your server’s ID, links fall back to the Plex Web home page.
Good to know
- Posters come through Tautulli’s image proxy, so no Plex token is needed.
- TV episodes show the series poster and an
SxxExxsubtitle. - Music libraries are skipped.
- LatestArr fetches the 100 most recent items and filters them by date itself, because Tautulli’s API has no “added since” filter. A very busy server could, in principle, add more than 100 items in one lookback window.
Importing users
Supported. Tautulli shares email addresses when the server owner can see them on plex.tv. The built-in “Local” user is skipped. See Importing users.
